Should I spend my own money and buy a low-flow shower head? I also want to grow the plants in my apartment a few terracotta pots? I thought maybe the tomatoes and lettuce. Clay pots, are safe? Could it lead in the clay pots? What a small building would be safe to grow a few plants?

There are simple things you can do that can not be organic and you can decorate your home, at the same time!
One of the simplest is to grow herbs, vegetables and flowers, potted plants and place them around your house. You can get the tone, then you could spend an afternoon painting clay pots with pretty designs.
You do not need them all their money to a shower head but shorter shower! And if you show a long time, you may want to reduce a few other things to do than waste water.
And finally, in a safe place that is not used too much energy. It's as simple as not using the off-Ligths, turn off the power points and reduce the time to watch TV instead, maybe he could read a book or magazine!
